Sarah has received an MSc in Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management at the University of Edinburgh. She currently works at Satellite Applications Catapult Ltd. She has been working in a team who are developing an EO Data Cube based in the South Pacific region (Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu) as part of the IPP CommonSensing project, funded by the UK Space Agency’s International Partnership Programme (https://www.commonsensing.org.uk/).
In her work she uses open source tools such as Dask, Kubernetes, Docker, STAC, COGs and Python to generate analysis ready data. This is then developed into earth observation derived products for use by the government ministries of the relevant nations.
